Lisa M. Chung, M.D.
Board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist Dr. Lisa M. Chung is an ophthalmic surgeon with a focus in premium cataract and refractive surgery. Her specialties and interests encompass a range of eye conditions including dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration.
Dr. Chung was born and raised in Lima, Ohio. After receiving the Dean’s Award for academic excellence 4 years in a row, she graduated from Ohio University with the honor of summa cum laude. Due to her outstanding academic achievement, she earned an early admission into medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, where she obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree. She completed her medical internship at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and her ophthalmology residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Upon completion of her surgical training at OSU, Dr. Chung was awarded The Paul A. Weber Award for Humanism for her exemplary care, advocacy and compassion toward her patients.
In 2024, she and her husband relocated to the Bradenton area to be closer to family. She is happy to be serving the Bradenton community and welcomes new patients.
